Paul’s 2024 Big Board/Mock Draft 1.0 (1/18)

It is just about that time again with the college basketball season in conference play, we take a look at the early big board and mock draft for the 2024 NBA Draft. This year’s draft possesses some interesting skill players, with no clear cut favorite to be the first pick. There are about 5 or 6 options to possibly go #1, and in general, this draft isn’t anticipated to be very deep. But of course that is always tough to analyze this early on (as the 2020 draft was said to be weak but now in hindsight was extremely strong). The big men definitely dominate the draft, with the majority of projected lottery picks to be in the frontcourt. The NBA G-League and overseas are dominating more than ever before, with five Ignite players projected in my top 35, and eight projected overseas players getting drafted. So here it is, addition 1.0 of my mock draft and big board; packed with all 58 picks, top 15’s for each position, and write-ups on each player. Hope you enjoy!

7’2 | 280 lbs | DOB: 2-23-04 (19)
23-24 Stats: 13.9 pts, 6.3 reb, 2 blk, 63.2% FG

Indiana (Sophomore)
7’0 | 242 lbs | DOB: 4-20-04 (19)
23-24 Stats: 14.2 pts, 9.4 reb, 1.6 blk, 41.7% 3P

– Former 5-star recruit transfer from Oregon
– He’s showing glimpses of his athleticism and stretching the floor as a 7’0 shooter

Oso Ighodaro
C RK: #5, OVR RK: #25
Marquette (Senior)
6’11 | 235 lbs | DOB: 7-14-02 (21)
23-24 Stats: 13.8 pts, 6.9 reb, 2.5 ast, 1.1 stl

Paul’s Notes:
– He’s probably more of a forward in the NBA, but has potential to be a good slasher

Aaron Bradshaw

Kentucky (Freshman)
7’1 | 226 lbs | DOB: 11-16-03 (20)
23-24 Stats: 8 GP, 7 pts, 4.4 reb, 0.9 blk

Paul’s Notes:
– #6 ranked 5-star recruit in the nation (ESPN)

23-24 Stats: 7.8 pts, 5.3 reb, 1.2 blk, 1 stl

Paul’s Notes:
– Need to see more before he becomes a real prospect, but Baba has the skill to be a backup big

Zvonimir Ivišić
C RK: #10, OVR RK: #45
Kentucky (Freshman)
7’2 | 234 lbs | DOB: 8-9-03 (20)
DNP – NCAA Ineligibility

– Not much of a prospect until he plays either here or overseas

P.J. Hall
C RK: #11, OVR RK: #46
Clemson (Senior)
6’10 | 238 lbs | DOB: 2-21-02 (21)
23-24 Stats: 20.1 pts, 7.1 reb, 2.1 blk, 1.1 stl

Aday Mara
C RK: #12, OVR RK: #52
UCLA (Freshman)
7’3 | 240 lbs | DOB: 4-7-05 (18)
23-24 Stats: 3.7 pts, 2.4 reb, 0.7 blk, 0.7 ast

Paul’s Notes:
– Scouts are holding onto him due to his size but his productivity and goofiness don’t show more than a two-way option

Zach Edey
C RK: #13, OVR RK: #55
Purdue (Senior)
7’4 | 300 lbs | DOB: 5-14-02 (21)
23-24 Stats: 22.9 pts, 11.1 reb, 2.2 blk, 62.7% FG

Paul’s Notes:
– His size, skill in the post, and the fact he may win 2-straight NPOY’s is sky rocketing his stock
– I have him much lower currently than most, that will change soon

Hunter Dickinson
C RK: #14
Kansas (Senior)
7’2 | 260 lbs | DOB: 11-25-00 (23)
23-24 Stats: 19.3 pts, 11.7 reb, 1.4 blk, 44.4% 3P

Paul’s Notes:
– Is a classic college dominator who can score from anywhere, but his game may not correlate to the NBA very well

Ryan Kalkbrenner
C RK: #15
Creighton (Senior)
7’1 | 270 lbs | DOB: 1-17-02 (21)
23-24 Stats: 15.9 pts, 7.4 reb, 2.5 blk, 64.1% FG
